This picture? It almost didn’t happen. 90% of the images I shot consist of a blurry Baby Boy throwing his hat off and crawling away as fast as his little arms and legs could carry him.
But I prevailed. I got one. Just 1.5 seconds before the hat left his head. Phew. Maybe next month I’ll skip a hat. Too much drama.
This sweet child is into everything these days. He’s curious. And fearless. And completely adorable.
He loves making messes about as fast as I clean them up. He is true boy – dirt anywhere? He’ll find it. And play in it. And eat it.
I love this age (although I’ve loved all his ages!). He understands us now and responds. He cares when we leave (most of the time). He wants to be held when he’s tired or doesn’t feel good.
Baby Boy & I slow danced to The Little Drummer Boy this afternoon. It was at the bottom of my favorite Christmas carol list before, but not now. Sweet Baby Boy pressed his cheek against mine as I danced and hummed, his eye lashes grew heavy and he finally laid his head on my shoulder and fell asleep. I think my heart burst.
