thanksgiving

This year was pretty near perfect.

We were all together under one roof. And this year one person richer – Isaac. Just about 11 weeks from being born.

There was the family and fellowship and delicious food. There was the Christmas tree reaching all the way to the 9 ft. ceiling. There was football and relaxation and plenty of laughter. There was a long walk in the fallish weather. There was the homey smells, the homey sounds and the peace that just comes from being. Together.

Yes, I am so thankful. God’s mercy endures forever (Psalm 136). Year to year. Month to month. Day to day. He has blessed me richly beyond what I could ask or imagine. I don’t deserve any of it. And yet He is this generous.

I will “enter His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.” (Psalm 100:4)
