Matt and I were talking the other day about last Easter. Which seems like ages ago and yesterday at the same time. We had just started talking, still via eHarmony mail. He told me he was going to visit his family in Mississippi over Easter…and then I didn’t hear from him for several days. I was sure he’d lost interest and wasn’t going to write again.
But I was wrong…and I’m so glad I was wrong. He wrote me and said that severe storms had kept him in Mississippi without internet access. I might have had a hard time believing that excuse except for two things: 1.) he had written me back and…2.) he had written me back.
That was last Easter. Obviously things progressed past eHarmony mail. This Easter Sunday we went to the early service at Frontline, together, married. We drove out to my parents’ house for Easter dinner, together, married. We came home, took a nap, laid on the couch and just relaxed, together, married.
In short, our Easter was lovely.
