a second home

Sometimes you just need a “second home.”

Whether it’s your best friend’s house…a little cabin on a lake… that place you go when you need a fresh perspective – “second homes” are awesome.

I’ve had dozens over the course of my life. I have a few now. It’s not a crime to have more than one at a time – promise! In fact, I would count both our parents’ houses, Barnes & Noble (with a coffee in hand, of course) and this blog on my current list of “second homes.”

And now I can add the blog my dad and I just started: ShadowTime Writers. We are very excited to start filling up the archives with tips on writing, book reviews, personal stories, and occasional updates on our book that is due out at the end of this year.

We are also excited about starting a dialogue with other writers, readers and dreamers out there. That’s you! We hope the blog becomes a “second home” for many, not just for us.

As with any “second home,” we’ll be making adjustments so we can get things just right. Or maybe we’ll never get them completely right – change for the better is necessary in writing and in life.

We hope you stop by. We hope you feel comfortable and stay. We hope you also share the news about our new place with others.

Leave a note when you stop by. We’d love to know what you would like to see featured on the blog. If this is going to be your “second home,” your input is invaluable  to us.

Putting out the welcome mat now…
