our honeymoon adventures [in pictures]: part four

We drove about 3 1/2 hours to The Hermitage in Mt. Cook.

About 20 minutes before we reached the hotel, we made a little detour 🙂

(Standing on the Franz Josef glacier – awesome)

(The other side of the Southern Alps range looked much different)

(We flew right past Mt. Cook)

(We made it to our hotel later that evening. This was the view from our room)

(Eating dinner and watching the sunset on Mt. Cook)

(Breakfast with a view of the mountain)

(Visiting the Sir Edmund Hilary museum at the hotel. He was the first man to climb Mt. Everest and he used Mt. Cook to practice)

(Ready for more adventures)

Next up: Christchurch.
